Shunyata recognizes the important role burn-in plays to in attaining optimal performance from power-system products.

Shunyata's exclusive BURN-IN ADAPTERS will allow anyone to connect power cords in series from an AC generating device, such as a fan, refrigerator, De-humidifier - to the wall outlet.

This allows power cords to achieve optimal performance and helps avoid the otherwise noticeable changes in performance that occur during the burn-in process. Once burn-in is complete, after 72-96hrs, the power cords can be applied to electronics with amazing results.

SR-Z1 OUTLETS

Shunyata Research's SR-Z1 Outlets, are built by Hubbell to Shunyata Research's exacting specifications.

These outlets have large internal contacts that provide superior contact integrity for power cords. Most all Ferrous metals have been removed from the SR-Z1 design, as have carbon materials, which Shunyata's independent tests have proven are detractive to optimal AC performance.

Additionally, the body of the outlet is oversized, providing improved internal cooling capacity when under heavy current loads. All SR-Z1 outlets undergo Shunyata's proprietary Alpha Cryogenic Process. This unique cryogenic treatment is performed on-site at Shunyata Research's factory, and has proven superior to any other cryogenic treatment type that Shunyata Research has tested. The SR-Z1 outlets provide a critical contribution toward the award-winning performance of Shunyata's power-distribution products.

Shunyata Research's SSF (Stainless Steel Feet) provide a significant upgrade in performance for all HYDRA Power Distributors - without the high cost. It is well known that HYDRA performance can be improved by placing them on a shelf or dedicated amplifier stand and by using high-performance cones under them. While these tweaks are beneficial, they can be quite costly. We developed the SSF to optimize HYDRA performance without the high cost of accessories.

The SSF feet are milled from solid blocks of high-grade stainless steel. They are two inches tall, which raises a HYDRA chassis above the thickest carpeting. This makes it possible to get great performance from your HYDRA without the need to place it on a dedicated shelf or amplifier stand. The stainless steel discs, included in the package, protect expensive shelving and hardwood floors from scratches. Tests have shown that the stainless discs may also be beneficial when used on carpeting. Have your customers try it both ways.

The SSF's are easy for the dealer or customer to install. They are threaded specifically for the HYDRA and replace the rubber isolation feet that come standard on most HYDRAs. The SSF feet are HIGHLY recommended for HYDRA CYCLOPS and HYDRA-α MODEL-2 since these products are likely to be placed on the floor.

DF-SS: DARK FIELD SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The Shunyata Research DF-SS takes the patented technology Shunyata Designer Caelin Gabriel applied in the original DFE and DFE v2, to an elite performance level by adding two important design innovations. In addition to the patented energy-field neutralization material used in the original DFE, the DF-SS incorporates two forms of vibration isolation that quiets energy transfer between the floor and any cable product.

The most significant advance applied to the DF-SS is the wide band cable suspension bridge, designed to support any cable, power or signal, while dissipating vibrational energy through the purposefully tensioned polymer band. The second innovation is the energy-absorbing granular compound that fills the base of the DF-SS. This compound formulation absorbs floor borne energy that would otherwise couple to the cable, causing signal degradation.

These combined technologies define the DF-SS as the most technically advanced cable suspension system on the market. To prove the DF-SS efficacy, Shunyata will be publishing Accelerometer test results with the DF-SS, indicating the level of isolation they provide from floor borne vibration, common to all sound system environments.
